Academic Freedom and the Parameters of Knowledge
The issue of academic freedom is addressed, focusing on how it pertains to the contemporary constraints placed on "permissible" fields of study and discourse. A case study of a large state university where overt and covert limitations have been placed on the study of gay, lesbian and bisexual issues is presented.
