Special Workshop on Teaching by the Case Method

May 9, 2008

The Public Education Leadership Project (PELP), in coordination with Harvard Business Higher Education and Harvard Education Press, is pleased to present  a workshop on Participant-Centered Learning for instructors at universities and other professional development organizations involved in the preparation of K-12 education leaders.

This seminar is designed to provide an immersion experience in discussion leadership. The seminar is structured around case discussions to allow attendees to experience the method in action and observe how the facilitators manage discussions. The program aims to equip new instructors with basic skills in leading case discussions as well as to elevate seasoned teachers to higher levels of proficiency. The seminar will use pieces from the recently released PELP casebook, Managing School Districts for High Performance, as well as other classic cases about participant-centered learning.

When: June 27 – 28, 2008
Where: The Harvard Business School campus in Boston, MA.
