1. Harvard Education Press and Harvard Education Letter Win National Awards

    The Harvard Education Letter won a Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) at a ceremony in Washington D.C. on June 8, 2011. AEP is a nonprofit member organization serving the educational resource industry.

    The Harvard Education Letter was awarded AEP’s “Best Editorial” in the category of Adult Learning for "I Used to Think... And Now I Think..." by Richard F. Elmore, Gregory R. Anrig Professor of Educational Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

    This essay is the centerpiece of a new book, I Used to Think... And Now I Think...: Twenty Leading Educators Reflect on the Work of School Reform, edited by Richard Elmore and  published by Harvard Education Press.

    The Distinguished Achievement Awards are the largest branch of the AEP awards program and recognize the year's best products according to subject area and grade level in the categories of Curriculum, Periodicals, Professional Development and Technology.     In addition to this Distinguished Achievement Award, the Harvard Education Press was awarded a Beacon Award for its Fall 2010 Catalog.
